FOOD HANDLER CERTIFICATION AND FOOD SERVICE SANITATION MANAGER

PROFESSIONAL ONLINE SELF-PACED EDUCATION FOR FOOD SERVICE PROFESSIONALS
My Food Service License provides a course and examination that takes approximately 45 minutes to complete and, upon successful completion, provides a printable handler certificate and card. This card is good for three years.
The Idaho Food Handler Training Course is suggested by the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare.
While the course is not mandated, the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare encourages all food handlers to obtain knowledge about food safety and sanitation. T
he Idaho Food Handler Training Course does just that. In just about an hour the food handler is trained and will receive a downloadable certificate and handler card. The certificate and card provides the establishment with proof that the employee has been well trained.
State Requirements: Not required.
Food Manager: Will be required in 2018.
Food Protection Manager: Although certification is not mandatory, Food Protection Managers must demonstrate knowledge and passing an accredited Food Safety Manager certification exam is one way to meet the requirement.
Food Handlers: Not required.
Manager Training Hours: Recommended but not required.
Food Handler Course: Recommended but not required.
Food Manager Certification and Food Handler Certificate Renewal: Every 5 years.

The My Food Service License Idaho Certified Food Protection Manager course provides food safety training,exams and educational materials to foodservice managers. Students will earn the nationally accredited International Certified Food Protection Manager Certification issued by the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals upon passing the proctored exam with a score of 75% or higher.
The program blends the latest FDA Food Code, food safety research and years of food sanitation training experience. Managers learn to implement essential food safety practices and create a culture of food safety. All content and materials are based on actual job tasks identified by foodservice industry experts.
The My Food Service License Idaho Certified Food Protection Manager course is self-paced and allows students the ability to start and stop throughout the course. Hours of video, text and interactive quizzes and puzzles allow students with to learn through various learning styles.
