The My Food Service License Kansas Certified Food Protection Manager course provides food safety training,exams and educational materials to foodservice managers. Students will earn the nationally accredited International Certified Food Protection Manager Certification issued by the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals upon passing the proctored exam with a score of 75% or higher. Our certification is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)-Conference for Food Protection (CFP).
The program blends the latest FDA Food Code, food safety research and years of food sanitation training experience. The Wichita Health Authority requires all food handlers to obtain knowledge about food safety and sanitation within thirty (30) days of employment.
My Food Service License provides a training course that does just that. In just about 1 hour the food handler is trained and will receive a downloadable certificate and handler card.
Upon successful completion of the course and test, you will print your certificate of training and present it and a photo ID at the Health Department located at 1900 E. 9th in Wichita
A food handler is defined by law as a person who works in a food facility and performs any duties that involve the preparation, storage or service of food in a food facility. This program is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) against the ASTM standard. and is available for use in all 50 states.
Course fee includes; course, exam and state specific food handlers card.

State Requirements: Person in charge must demonstrate knowledge.
Food Protection Manager: Although certification is not mandatory, food workers must demonstrate knowledge and passing an accredited Food Safety Manager certification exam is one way to meet the requirement.
Food Handlers: Not required.
Exceptions: Riley County requires 1 Food Manager Certification per location. Leavenworth and Wichita/Sedgewick County must attend a Food Handler class.
Manager Training Hours: Recommended but not required.
Food Handler Course: Recommended but not required.
Food Manager Certification and Food Handler Certificate Renewal: Food Manager every 3 years; Food Handler every 5 years.
